About Us

Our Purpose and Outcome

This coalition exists to create an anti-racist, health-centered emergency response program for the city of Columbus that operates independently of the division of police, is accountable to those impacted, and promotes investment in long-term community support. We expect the processes outlined below will lead to (1) the establishment of a non-police first response program in Columbus by the passage of the 2023 operating budget, and (2) a publicly-supported advocacy campaign demanding such a program by the start of 2022.
